FAQ'S
Does the Log
Cabin have a hot tub outside?
Yes, the hot tub is outside on the deck,
under the stars, waiting to be enjoyed. All 3 cabins now have outside hot
tubs!
Is it a problem if we do not check in by 4 PM?
No: We operate through our home which is
located on the same property. We do like for our guests to let us know
if they will be early or late so we can plan our day or evening.
What time is check
out?
12:00 noon on the day of your departure.
What is the best time
to reach you by phone?
The best time is before noon & after 5 PM
but we try to be available anywhere between 9 AM and 8 PM. Fridays are not good days to reach us due to we are doing the housekeeping at the cabins and getting ready for check-ins. Please leave a message and we will get back to you or you can email
us at kkabins@bright.net.
How fast do your cabins
book?
We book approximately 4 to 6 weeks in advance
on the weekends. The fall months go very quickly as well as the holidays.
If you call today for availability on a specific date we cannot guarantee
to you that the date will still be available tomorrow unless you reserve
it.
Do you have electric
at the cabins?
Yes. Our name, Kandelight Kabins, is taken
from our last name Kandel. It is a play on words! We do have electric and
you do not have to depend on candles unless we have a storm and the electric
goes out for a while. That is just one more of those things that make us
so special and exciting to visit.
Are you open year round?
Yes. The cabins are located on hills but
if your vehicle doesn't make it up the hill due to the snow we have a 4
wheel drive Jeep and we take our guests up to the cabin and pick them up
when they are ready to leave. This actually pleases our guests because
they feel all cozy and snowed in and really enjoy themselves. It just adds
a bit of excitement to the stay.
What do you consider
children?
If your children live at home with you and
they are not married and do not have children of their own then their stay
is at no charge. However, if they are married and they have children of
their own and are no longer living with you then they are adults and there
is an extra guest charge.
I have a really nice
dog. He is old and so good, could I take him with me to the Cedar Cottage
or Log Cabin?
NO! We have one cabin for those of us who
like animals and that is the Rustic Chalet.
Can I tentatively reserve
a cabin?
No. Due to the limited availability we cannot
hold a cabin without a 50% deposit.
Is there a lake on
the property or are you by the river?
Yes and no. The cabins are located
on 35 wooded acres. There is Pleasant Hill Lake located near us within
a 10 minute drive. The river is within a 2 minute drive of the cabins.
We do have 2 very small, spring-fed nature ponds on the property.
Is there a playground
for the children?
We do not have a city park type playground
on the grounds however the woods is a playground in itself. Children find
wonderful things to do in the woods or outside. There are games and puzzles
at each cabin that Mom and Dad can play along with the children.
